  1. Not sure if we're supposed to post or not, but I'll take a shot. Obviously this isn't enlightened. It could be considered offensive to a large group of people, but let me play the devil's advocate here and say it is good marketing. The 'twist' at the end could be considered funny to a lot of people and it makes the commercial stand out in your mind. I think the problem that highlights is our willingness to offend a certain number of people to sell a product more effectively. We're selling our morals for profit so to speak. I know that sounds a little deep and profound for a chow mein commercial, but possibly true none the less.

  2. Going along with what Nick said, it could offend some people but I think that this "noodle guru" is good marketing. The commercial is one that people will remember. The people producing such a commercial are only doing their job which is to sell their product. What do you think?

  3. Whenever there is a distinction made between races there is going to be tension. I agree with the above comments that to many people this commercial could be seen as offensive. However, in the world of advertising, companies and businesses want to get their product name remembered. This commercial does just that. I will remember this commercial. However, no matter what the context, when race, religion, sexual orientation etc. gets used and played up for dramatic effect, there will always be tension and there will always be someone that is offended.
